1. I have been watching all the usual challenges go up over at yuletide, waiting for Some Day My Fic Will Come, because this year my Enemy at the Door request would qualify, but alas, Some Day My Fic Will Come has not come and my faithfulness will only be rewarded if some day my fic does come without the help of Some Day My Fic Will Come ( Read more... )

Ooh, I am vastly impressed by your mushroom soup. :-) Cooking, even just hotting up things that come out of cans, takes a lot of spoons for me, so I tend to avoid doing anything that will suffer if I get distracted or take a nap in the middle of it. (I baked a frozen lasagna from the grocery store last night, which is possibly the most cooking I've done for months. We are all being very cookery hereabouts. ^_^)

*snuggles*

ETA:

"waiting for Some Day My Fic Will Come... but alas, Some Day My Fic Will Come has not come and my faithfulness will only be rewarded if some day my fic does come without the help of Some Day My Fic Will Come."

I didn't understand a word of that, not being involved in the challenge part of Yuletide at all, but it amused me anyway. :D Honestly it rather reminded me of Piglet in the Heffalump trap, "waiting for my ho-ho to come-come". *is easily amused by funny-sounding wordplay* ;-)

Cooking does take spoons, but I have got certain things I can do simply that then can be stuck into tubs and put in the fridge/frozen and which will feed me for days with hardly any spoons needed to heat up and those are essential to me not starving to death or having to buy expensive things! You'll just have to do the same - keep pegging away at whatever works for you, and the more you do, the less spoons it takes (well, most of the time. Not v bad days). So, yay, lasagne heated up!! *twirls you gently*

And Some Day My Fic Will Come is a challenge to fill a request someone's been asking for for three years or more. I finally qualified and it's nowhere to be seen! :-D

I am actually writing up the story where Ace goes on a 'date' with Henry VII that came from this meme.

Oh my. But I look forward to read it nevertheless.

Hope the soup was tasty.

It's not a date as such or Henry might have to die and that would mess up history. (Because everyone Ace goes out with dies.) But there is a monster and an explosion and some running and I think that counts as a date with her, really. :-)

It might still come mightn't it??

Lol. Henry probably made the map so Stanley didn't mention his son was being held by Richard III again - we know! Extreme close-ups, talking to camera, baggy backcloths it's all good:D But better on a TV the size of an old one; it gets a tad disconcerting on a "big" modern one.

I hope the mushroom soup survives the deadly threat of old TV;p

It might! But I was looking forward to being eligible for looking pitiful like a drowned kitty and begging some extra. ;-)

My TV I watch on is mostly pretty small, but I think some of it still wants to be smaller yet. Or in black and white and a little bit fuzzy...

It did. :-)

Mushroom soup! Yum. I hope it behaved itself impeccably.

I have my suspicions that Twelve would actually enjoy running a coffee shop with Henry VII. My brain is giving me fierce glares for even considering the idea, but it's definitely a theory. Mind you, I pity the clientele, as they'd be sure to be ranted at, and would probably have to deal with The Guitar.

Possibly Twelve was an influence on Henry VIII? Perhaps Greensleeves was originally supposed to be played on electric guitar? It's a theory...

It did, actually. It's not yet perfect, but it wasn't bad at all. :-)

And, ha, that is great! I don't have a problem with you writing that at all...

If I could send you some in the post, I would, but somehow I fear that would not go well. ;-)
