Oh, wait, look what I had all along...

Following on from my last post, I investigated Pauline Delany's IMBD, and guess what? First, I unknowingly recorded her ep of Bergerac when it was on and then deleted it without watching it because I missed her on the cast list, whoops. /o\ However, then I noticed that she was also in The Mind of Mr. J. G. Reeder in 1969, which... is a thing I ( Read more... )

Is it e evil of me to point out that Bergerac is on You Tube:

Just in case you were tempted to screencap.

They've posted "Fires In The Fall"! I haven't seen that one since it aired back in 1986. It terrified my entire school. Huzzah. I must watch it some time. :)

It's not evil - it's very kind, and if Drama stop short of S4, like BBC2 the other month, I shall definitely try and watch it there. (I'm not actually any good at screencapping off YouTube, either, though! Heh.)

Oh yes, watch "Bergerac"! I am weirdly fond of that show, especially the later series, with Ben and Willy. Looks like the episodes you're after are before they joined, though. It's such an entertaining show. Terence Alexander is wonderful. FWIW, I think the episode with Alfred Burke will only have bothered you at the time because you were young, or were only half watching it. There's only one frightening episode of "Bergerac", and it's not that one.

Ha, it wasn't frightening, but it touched on two particular things I found distressing as a child & certain types of things involving food/poison can still upset me now.

And I watched nearly 3 series, minus random episodes (and ones that didn't have anyone I knew in - or apparently, ones I thought didn't have anyone I knew in them) already when BBC2 were showing them. So, yeah, if they can get a bit further and give me Chris Boucher eps and Alfred Burke, I'll be happy. Also if they show the ones BBC skipped over, too. :-)

(And, lol, yes. I could watch it on YouTube at a push. Better on my TV, though.)

David Collings was an evil Bertie Wooster-type in it that one time
*boggles* A bear of very little brain, and yet what there is, is unremittingly evil? Terrifying.

That was about the size of it, yes. Pauline Delany's episode was better overall, but obviously David Collings doing random things always wins out for me. :-)

That is absolutely hilarious, especially this bit:

"What, me? LOL, I am French and it's only the 1920s." Break that alibi! :oD

I've always thought playing a villain must be a lot of fun, so hopefully Pauline Delany enjoyed herself immensely.

Thanks for picspamming this,
