Poetry meme

I felt in need of a writing meme tonight &, as ever, resurrected this one, which often seems to work for me:

1: Pick five fandoms. List them in alphabetical order.

1. Doctor Who
2. Dungeons & Dragons
3. Press Gang
4. Public Eye
5. Spooks

2: Visit this site to find your first RANDOM POEM OF POWER. Write down the 5th line (yes, even if it's an E.E ( Read more... )

I like the Who one!

I remember this meme being a lot of fun for me the last time it was going around, too.

Thanks! I was doing it late (for me) last night, and the first four were done and I was about to give up on the DW one, and then at the last moment... that, and I liked it better than the rest, too. Writing is a funny thing, isn't it? :-)

I always finds this one really works when I need a push to stop worrying and get writing.

... You do know your LJ entry is making me look at it and worry what is happening to Regina that I CAN'T SEE? *glares*

;-p

The Spooks one made me chuckle aloud. And I liked the others.

Thank you! I looked at that quote and thought, I could do this the metaphorical way it's meant, or I can be silly. And of course...

Of course after the first time, Lynda will have had the locks changed. And I love that Spooks one - why bother being on a team that doesn't include Ruth, because you'll only lose.

Also, I heard there's going to be a Spooks film. It was mentioned in my TV guide, and I don't know how accurate its information is.

Very accurate - I've seen on-set photos of Peter Firth over on Tumblr.

(Sorry to thread jump.)

Heh, both very true - or that's what I thought anyway! :-)

Oh, there is going to be a Spooks film. I'm not sure what it'll be like, but Peter Firth will be in it. People have been posting news links on spooky_doings, and Pers tends to point me in the direction of updates, too. Apparently, it's being written by the writers responsible for the last couple of seasons, so... 0_o

But, still, should shake the fandom up a bit, right?

Ah, I hadn't thought of looking there. I did think that the news in the TV guide is usually months old :) If it's Spooks and it has Peter Firth in it, I'll watch it.

By heck, I remember Press Gang: when Dexter Fletcher was 20 and looked about 10. Saw him on telly t'other night and, bloody hell... Some considerable time has passed. For all of us.

How very apposite that quote for PE is. And how very, very sad your drabble for it.

Heh, yes, Press Gang, when Dexter Fletcher was 10 and Julia Sawalha was about 8... I love Press Gang. :-)

How very apposite that quote for PE is. And how very, very sad your drabble for it.

Thank you. It was a very fitting quote. But after that he gets out of prison and finds himself again. And meets Mrs Mortimer, so it's okay. Ish.
