A Mug Named Frank - 71 Public Eye Icons

Dec 18, 2013 20:34

My resolution not to talk about Public Eye at you any more unfortunately only ended in icons. What else was I to do? And so here they are, before I add them to my pile of Icons I Must Actually Post Some Day. 71 icons - text and images (mainly images). (Also including a few familiar guest stars at the end.)

Preview:

helen mortimer, alfred burke, quotes, brian croucher, colin baker, percy firbank, public eye, pauline delany, gareth thomas, frank marker, icons, david gwillim, ray smith

Ray Smith! Looking a bit younger than I'm used to. He was a regular then? And blimey, look at all those guest stars. It looks as though everybody appeared at some point. Who's the fellow in #71? I can't quite decide if he's familiar or not.

Nice work, anyway. You have very good composition, and the black and white ones especially are very striking.

Yes, Ray Smith's Inpsector Percy Firbank in S5-7, though probably more of a semi-regular - he's usually in about half the episodes for each series. (I was going to say that I mentioned that before, but that was in one of the many invisible posts on the subject...) He's good, anyway. He and Frank have a gloomy and pragmatic friendship in which they get together and accidentally ruin people's lives between them.

And thank you! :-)

Whoops, and, no #71 probably isn't familiar to most people - it's David Gwillim who was the BBC Henry V and I like him, so I made an icon. (I just realised, though, that I forgot to see if I could do one for Carole Ann Ford. Silly me.)

These are lovely! I don't know the show (apart from your ramblings, which are really like watching in proxy) but I've snagged several of the quotes and even a few of the faces because they are *pretty*

Aw, thank you! I think once I've finished the show, I'm going to have to attempt something coherent instead of rambling, if only for myself. Like these icons, so I'm glad you liked them. ♥

Lovely! I like Frank's silly expressions and Pauline Delany's cute face. Good quotes too esc. 37, 41 & 13. Aw to 25. Bonus points for tea drinking & the famed mug! I noticed Gareth Thomas tea drinking on tumblr\o/.

Your show has all the pretty people. It does!

Aw, thank you. :-) I managed not to do many tea drinking ones, which is quite strange really, since all they ever do is drink tea/coffee/beer/scotch all the time.

I only icon the pretty ones! Except for Frank, obviously, but then he's interesting instead.

You're obv. saving them to unleash 101 tea drinking icons!

Alas, poor Frank!

My thought on seeing Elisabeth Sladen in police uniform: "I wonder if Ian Marter ever played a centurion?"

(Sadly, IMDB seems to think not).

IMBD does have some holes in it. It lies sometimes as well. (Not that I ever argue with it about David Collings's entry, of course.)

So, there's no reason not to think Ian Marter might not have been a centurion in something that it missed. or on radio, or on stage.

:-)
