Heh, I was just looking for someone to be the unseen operator in this and going down Wiki's list of Elements, randomly tried Chromium and s/he (haven't decided) seemed v useful, interesting and appropriate, and apparently, in more modern times, its use was largely replaced by steel. Which amused me in an earlier partner for Sapphire, naturally.
