Yuletide recs (so far)

Dec 31, 2012 20:17

I've barely scratched the surface and have been mostly working through alphabetically. Until my parents' internet cut out, and after I'd finally read my own gifts to my own satisfaction, I did have a bit where I could even read quite long things (ish), which was fun. And while some of these have been recced a lot, others really haven't that I've ( Read more... )

Oooh thanks for the recs - I shall read some of them on the morrow (I'm listening to a Companion Chronicle at the moment).

:-) There seem to be so many good fics this year. I can't even truthfully say I've got halfway through the alphabet yet, and I've read a total of 3 Madness fics. Yuletide treasure, it is... (And I thought you'd like to know about the Alleyn one!)

Sounds nice!

I'm delighted to know about the Alleyn one.

It was different - a Companion Chronicle featuring Mike Yates - which is a first. (Although I believe they've finally talked John into doing a Benton one for later this year.)

Ooh, I do like the New Tricks one. A rare fandom indeed, and absolutely pitch-perfect.

What there's 'Brittas Empire' fic? I used to love that. Anyone written a crossover with 'Waiting for God'? And 'New Tricks' too! There'll be a second 'Class Act' fic next(!).

Happy New Year too in case LJ won't let me do more than one thing.

Oh, yes. It's not the first Yuletide there's been some. I think there's one about Brittas, Laura and a dead moose in the swimming pool that I like, too... ;-D

Yuletide is basically full of fic for things you'd never have thought anyone would have written fic for. It's lovely.

Happy New Year back!
