I didn't recognise Jan Francis as the ballerina at all! I liked how you kept on going back to the dancing though - that fitted in well with the music (obviously!).
LOL at your Patrick Stewart eating pancakes comment. Doesn't that make *every* vid worthwhile? ::pictures PS eating pancakes popping up in odd vids - S&S, Press Gang...::

And it is pretty good. Episode 1 is so narrative-heavy and full of contemporary images that I really wasn't sure about it, but all the other episodes have been great so far (and that one was good once they stopped narrating everything). My DVD cover does say that it is a rare TV appearance for Curt Jurgens. (I suppose if you promise someone they can play Bismarck, they can't refuse, heh.) The pancakes are a cunning ruse to disguise the fact it is a radical meeting.

Gemma Jones is Princess Vicky, Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, who marries a Prussian prince. (So not a Russian spy at all, I AM SORRY.) However, she is completely awesome in it.
