The meme continues, and I am definitely back to being British, although I don't know about obscure. A current show hardly feels obscure to me... I was wavering as to whether or not to include this character, but now I've seen the pilot and S1, she is totally on this list, as she should have been all along...

My mum and sister love this show - I've watched a few eps, and enjoyed them, but didn't really get into it.

(And seeing this post reminds me that I stalled at Day 2 on this meme! FAIL!)

Apart from the fact that I have just this last week seen S1, it's always been something I've watched quite casually, and only from S4, because it is that kind of show - you can drop in and out at any point. I only watched it because of this thing I was writing and I had to watch a whole lot of detective shows, and I thought New Tricks was such good fun, I kept watching it again. Nobody's trying to be pretentious, even though some stuff can be quite moving - they just trust their four leads to get things across, and of course, they're all very good in their different ways. (Alun Armstrong particularly, I have to say. Brian's not an easy part to play in a light-hearted show).

Well, I did wonder what happened, but didn't want to nag! Are you going to restart, and if not, can you let me in on what the list would have been? (Because I am incurably nosy!!!)

I did enjoy it - I just didn't get into it that much.

I'll PM you the list... I'm not saying I won't ever finish the meme, but still...
