Well, 22 can be questioned before Janeway, as Kira might not have been a part of the federation, but she managed to outdo them all!

I rather suspect from how old this 'comparison chart' seems to be that it was done before both DS9 and Voyager. But the contrast made me laugh, because certainly the B7 stuff is utterly true. Especially 12. Oh, the lack of a budget...

Oh, yes! Even from the two Blake's 7 episodes I've seen, 12 seems to be completely true! :D And the rest, too. :)

I take it you've seen the theory that B7 and Trek both originate from the same Federation? The difference being that Trek is propaganda made by the Party, and B7 is propaganda made by the Resistance. That would certainly explain 12.

Well, not that specific one (because if B7 is supposed to be Resistance propaganda, it would be rubbish propaganda - in it rebellion is not necessarily better than the Federation, and they never win...) but it is a thing impossible not to think of. My opinion is that they exist in parallel universes, and the B7 version is like the Infernoverse version for Star Trek. The stuff like 'going beyond negative emotions' vs 'population is kept passive via drugs' are impossible not to compare. However, there are pretty much no real aliens in B7 and teleportation is regarded as a marvel - the Liberator crew have it and nobody else does... And nobody in Star Trek dresses like Servalan.
