Icons: BBC TV's The Lion, Witch & the Wardrobe

You know when you're feeling pretty much better, but not at work and not up to doing anything sensible. Obviously, the only thing to do is to screencap some random DVD and make icons. "When a Knight Won His Spurs" ? That takes me back. We used to sing that at junior school, I think.

What that theme tune reminded me of was "Fight the Good Fight", but there you go.

Thank! Yes, that's the one. And certainly, the tune we sang it to was very, very similar to that used in the theme. (The only version I know of 'Fight the Good Fight' sounds nothing like the Narnia theme to my ears. But given the amount of tunes hymns have been sung to, we could be talking the same melody anyway.)

It was annoying me when I watched it a year or so back and as soon as I pulled out the DVD I was off again. (And, seriously, you can sing this to the theme. It's the middle bit of it they've taken from this song. And given the relation of the lyrics to the Narnia story, I can't believe it was coincidence.)

Edit I listened again. The beginning does sound a little bit like Fight the Good Fight, too, doesn't it? But every time it comes on I wonder round trying to sing 'When A Knight Won His Spurs".

Wow, it's been so long since I saw this version I only have the barest gauzy shreds dangling around in my memory. I love the fanfic one, hah!

Thanks! I was wanting something to do and I'm keeping to obscure things not many other people have iconed at the moment, and I thought this would do, because there are some things that are still instantly recognisable from the books.

Heh, yes, I think I've finally made myself an icon I want to use! :lol:
