Mac parked the bike and killed the engine

William follwed close on her heels up the steps. He laughed when he saw the cute little puppy in Mac's arms. He always wanted a puppy or kitten but had never had one of his own.

"Can I pet him?"

"Of course you can pet her," Mac knelt down so he could, smiling more the moment the puppy noticed someone else was there and began to yap happily.

"Here," she carefully handed him the puppy, "Why don't you bring her in and I'll start on food."

Billy scooped up the puppy and followed Mac. He stayed as close to her as possible, not wanting to be left somewhere again.

He sat on the floor with the puppy in his lap, kissing the fur on his head and stroking his back. "Hi Chocie. You're a nice puppy aren't you."

She found some food and then some dog chocolates and handed the packet to Billy, "Why don't you give her some of these?"

She found a jar of hot dogs and opened it, "How many hot dogs can you eat?"
