:( that's so disappointing, but hey $1000 is far from nothing.
i think that you should still go to hunter.
i've only heard bad things about stony brook,
if you go to new paltz you'll be with so many other hen hud kids,
if you go to buffalo you'll be isolated from the rest of the world,
and albany's tuition is $6018, compared to hunter's $2000 (and you cut that in half with your scholarship).
