i have the last night of the proms on in the back ground and the solo violinist looks like he's the bastard son of john barrowman and david michell. it's... subtly wrong...

edit: it's this guy and stills don't look the same at all. i think the barrowman resemblance is all in how he moves his brow/eyebrows

*grins* when she walked out i blinked and wandered whether the dress was *meant* to be like that or she had just tugged the top up by an inch or 6 too high :)
i'm not a great fan of sopranos anyway, the chorus before her was much more my speed

kiri is in a class of her own & yes, the kiri prize winner was amazing. she made me enjoy wagner! :)

but i think renee is one of those singers that sounds *exactly* like a stereotypical opera singer is meant to sound like and why lots of people think they don't like opera. i'm sure she is very good & all but....

actually she might be perfect for rule britania 'cause that song is a stereotype of itself already :)
