He got it for me down in Mexico. The story behind him giving it to me is kinda amusing.

He got the ring through customs fine but when they got to Baltimore, they thought that Danny's step-father was trying to smuggle in booze so they searched everyone in their party. Danny got back here and he was FREAKING out because he had no idea where the ring went. So he is tearing his suitcases apart and calling the person that searched his things all sorts of names. I was sitting on the bed watching him when I noticed his cigarette pack on the ground. I can't help but open it up and count how many cigarettes he has left (since he is trying to quit..) and I saw something in the bottom of the pack. I fish it out and it's the ring in a clear plastic bag. I hold it up and ask him if this is what he is searching for and he snatches it from me, gets down onto his knee and proposes. I was in tears!!

I find it funny they searched everything BUT the cigarette pack... cuz nobody has ever put illicit things in the bottom of a cigarette pack...
