For my dear friend jenthegypsy, who is having a rough week, and because where I am it is rainy and icy and cold, so an excess of sun and skin is most welcome.
You wrote me a ficlet? *cries like a baby cause, yeah, it's been a really bad week-a really bad day* But I'm reduced to a flood of tears because this is so beautifully put - so wonderfully written - and such a fantastic comparison, these two lithe men to the big cats that they so closely resemble.
I bless your muse and whatever caused you to make the comparison - the ficlet is lovely, lazy, relaxed, drowsing...all of the things my life is not at the moment. I'm printing it out and taking it with me tomorrow to uplift a certain-to-be downer of a day.

~ ~ ~ *wipes nose* You know, I really should say that I wallow in the luxuriousness of the descriptions of each cat, each man, but the icing on the cake is the description of the time when the afterglow has faded, and the two rise from the warmth of the rocks and return to the caves, to read, to discuss, to drink, and to fall together again. *dies*
You really are a wonder - thank you so much, from the very bottom of my heart!
*hugs you tight while grinning like an idiot* Am completely tickled that the languor carried though the words because seeing them sprawled on those rocks demanded a different way of writing about them (or at least an attempt to). So happy to have provided a bright spot (and with a minimal trail of breadcrumbs!) You are more than welcome, dear friend. *squishes*
So glad you enjoyed the comparison! Had this image of them lying on those rocks by the stream combined with the way a cat will give itself over so completely to the pleasure of a sunbath - how could I possibly resist? Thanks for reading and commenting, I really appreciate it.
Apparently, Desmond had some hidden cat in him, too. Oh, very much so! Watch that flat-out run at the beginning of FBYE and pay attention to the way he uses his arms to counterbalance in turns. Then think about how a cheetah uses his tail in the same fashion. Am very happy you enjoyed having a peek at their sunbath! And thanks for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.
