(Well, come to think of it, the things that make them cute to me really are terrifying. The TV channel is more important to them than the Autobot prisoner they're hanging out with. Sure, they aren't actively torturing him or trying to cause him pain, but their nonchalance is distressing in an entirely different way.)
Can I just say that Vortex taking his time with First Aid is so hot and so goddamn creepy I could just hide under my bed and never come out?
"Back in the Ark, you told me to be honest," Vortex said. As he spoke, light glinted from a long and slender ridge which ran from his lower lip down to his throat. A welding scar. "I take it you still value honesty?"
*purr* And trying to get First Aid to retract his mask, unffff.
he subroutine screamed at him; acquiesce, be weak, do what you're told. He ignored ( ... )

An all around entertaining/creepy chapter. Poor First Aid, not cut out for infiltration whatsoever, huh? Jazz would have blown a hole in the Nemesis with the tools he had on hand and been gone in ten minutes. Aid is just too sincere. Course, that's obviously what drew Vortex's attention in the first place. He's gonna seduce the hell out of this poor little baby, isn't he?

I'm happy it came across as creepy as well as entertaining! And yep, not at all cut out for infiltration. Still, he has his strengths. (And Vortex totally has seduction in mind - although whether or not things go his way is another matter)
Thanks for reviewing, I'm glad you enjoyed it :D

On the other hand- being kept isolated in a room, captive and far from home until you say 'yes' is hardly a pleasant idea.
Isolated is up for debate thought; I guess Vortex figures- hey, Aid is a young vehicle alt. So are the Stunticons. That's probably comforting, right? Though they may be there simply because he knows how to manipulate them, and because they are aware of what he could do to them too. And I don't doubt Vortex knows Breakdown was there before.
But what are those three up to? We have yet to learn their idea. And what exactly is it that has Vortex so creepily fixated?

As for the Stunticons - and because of high grade and TV. Free booze and entertainments? They're totally there.
I really enjoy your speculations btw (plus they're helpful in getting me to see things in ways I hadn't already, which is very useful as I puzzle my way through writing part 2 :) )

And Stunticons babysitting - oh my lord, give him booze, pfft. What sort of babysitting service is this? And watching Oprah, oh dear.
I doubt the fleeting moment of cute/insane is going to make up for whatever's coming, but I'll just pretend it will anyway.
In conclusion, excellent work, somewhat apprehensive about more but will definitely read it anyway!

What sort of babysitting service is this? The awesome and slightly deranged sort? :P

Evidently! Reminds me of Daddy Daycare a little, actually. But with GIANT ROBOTS!

LOL! Maybe Scavenger and Scrapper should have shown up, that would have been SO adorable! Although they'd have probably run out of space on the bunk :P
