I'm a huge "New Avengers" fan, but alas my knowledge of "The West Wing" is confined to clips from award shows and ads seen many years ago. I've cobbled together a working knowledge of Marbury from character bios and youtube clips, so I hope any wobbles in characterisation don't spoil your enjoyment. I did my best

You tube has as numbered set of Marbury scenes, but these are all there really is, so your research was thorough.

Thank you! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed and it rang true on the character front. Those numbered Marbury scenes are indeed the ones I found, and they made for a good crash course. Such a fun character to write for--I really enjoyed him. But it's always tough writing for something you've never really watched yourself, so I'm glad it passed muster. Thanks for the prompt! :-)

(If you like the Lord Marbury scenes, maybe you'd enjoy the rest of The West Wing too - as that is full of intelligent, pleasantly snarky interchange. (Stick to season 1-4 if you do, 'cause after that they changed writers, and that smothered the fun at once))

I'll bear that in mind. I'm playing a bit of TV catch-up at the moment, on some shows that I've fallen horribly behind on. So much TV, so little time!

Thank you! Lord Marbury really has no idea what he's getting into with Purdey around. Imagine all the things she's learned by the turn of the millennium!

Thank you! Like I said, I don't know "The West Wing", but I didn't have to watch too many clips to work out that Purdey's legs would come up in conversation. ;-)
