The Brocklebury Sale“Bunter can always be trusted with books,” Wimsey told himself, now and then throughout that perplexing afternoon at Battersea Park. Indeed, it was this tendency - not altogether usual in bibliophiles - that had first drawn his attention to Mervyn Bunter

Mid-AtlanticThere was this to be thankful for, the wind and its attendant rain were at their backs. Half its force was lost that way - or so the pilot of the Handley-Page had told him, one drizzly, cold evening in the winter of 1917

Peter's PotHis sleep the night following the latest little adventure, out on the moors, was troubled. It had been all too like a certain day in the fag-end of the autumn of 1918, when he'd thought that his number was finally up, after four years and with the end in sight. The final advance, that last desperate throw of the exhausted Germans, had caught them all on the hop; but the British Army had set its back to the wall and held on with much grousing, and, finally, pushed back. Thank you! You have no idea how happy you made me with this! :D
I love the books to death but my english isn't good enough to write anything remotely like Sayers myself (I'm not good at writing in another author's style anyway, even in German). It's not even good enough to explain how much I enjoy your story (or rather stories).
I love it how you used canon and made something new, something more. Wimsey and Bunter are very IC <3

I'm so pleased you liked the fic and thought they were in-character! I'm sorry it took so long to write - I did find it a bit difficult because I haven't written them before, and Sayers is a hard act to follow. Also I got sidetracked by a false lead, in true detective mystery fashion, and had to start again. Still, I finished it in less than a year :) and I enjoyed the brain exercise, so thank-you for the prompt!
