Oh, that was so perfect, even though Rory didn't get the girl. I felt I was right in the kitchen with them and the dialogue was spot on! Thank you so much!

Yay! Like I said, it's been awhile since I watched, so I'm glad it rang true. Rory was always my favourite of the three boys (I knew who Benedict was before the rest of the world because of this show). I considered letting him get the girl, but that would never happen when Daniel was within a 100 mile radius, would it? He's still got those sheets in his arsenal, though. ;-)

That's it exactly. I would've liked Rory to get the girl, one who would never, ever be interested in Daniel's chat lines, but in that universe it really couldn't happen. The dynamics you captured showed that perfectly. Maybe if Daniel moved to the other side of the world and Lucy and Laura decided to go with him...

Given Rory's luck, he'd meet a nice girl and then find out she'd already had an encounter with Daniel in Austria or wherever it was he'd gone. Rory might have to do the moving instead, although the universe appears to conspire against him regardless, poor guy!
