Google, you earned the world a short respite from the wrath

Mar 20, 2009 13:00

Everyone should go and look at google now.

Firstly, because tomorrow, it will be gone. (They've changed the logo for the first day of Spring. It made me gleeful.)

Secondly. At some point in the next half hour my wrath will have risen to levels that will allow it to smite the whole goddamned world. So y'know, that would include google. And you ( Read more... )

Wait. The fact that google.co.uk looks nothing special to me does mean that google.de looks nothing special to you either, right? People need to see Raupe Nimmersatt! Like right now.

*screencaps*

Okay, I got to see your image and that is the same we have in Germany. I love Raupe Nimmersatt (the very hungry caterpillar). It made me so happy to see her there. Apple!

Hehe. I like that we both pimped this. :)

Edit the 2nd: The book is 40 years old today. I think that is why they put it up.

google.de gives me The Hungry Caterpillar, but google.com doesn't!! All those Americans are missing out!!

Oh, didn't realise that the books were 40 years old today! I just hovered over the image to see what the occasion was and got told that it was the first day of spring. Very cool that they coincided. *g*

Clearly Europeans are superior. :D

Really, everyone should see it. Don't they know the book there? It is huge. Isn't it like the most sold book that is not a religious guide book (how do you call a bible, a koran etc. in English?)?

Or at least the most sold children's book?

Well, I literally squeed out loud when I went to google this morning. :D

THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR!!!!!

Did they not give you the discs at the time? I wasn't even offered the option for Hal just over a year ago. No longer even sure if they do those down grade discs. http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2287685,00.asp

Does it have to be XP? Vista is kinda stable now.

Please don't smite me.... yesterday was a good day for me.....

THE VERY HUNGRY CATERPILLAR!!!!!

HEEEE! I KNOW!!!

Nope, there were no discs at the time. And I'm assuming they still do given that I was sold Vista Business so that I could downgrade. After this morning, I would probably have stuck with Vista, except, the machines can't actually run Vista. Well, they can, but Vista is all they'll run - they've 1GB RAM. Enough to run Vista and nothing else...

*IS BITTER*

[Glad yesterday was good tho. *g*]

Vista does need the whole 2Gb to be honest. Hal struggles (vista business).

Baws. Why 5 laptops if you don't mind me asking?

County laptops. We're getting another 5 when the grant actually comes through. (5 was all we could afford with the credit limit, and we needed them for tomorrow.)

PC World are on my shit list at the moment.
