I just found out that my friend, Terry, who made the macrame jewelry I adored, is dead. ( Yes, that's the same macrame jewelry I foisted on some of you who came to Chicago. )

I'm so sorry, sweetheart. What a crushing blow. The time we have is so ephemeral and unpredictable and precious. **hugs you tightly**

I cannot believe how quickly the time is moving toward your big move! Sheesh, thank heavens for the internet and the ability to stay in touch, even when you're far away. *holding you in futile effort to slow life down*

Thank goodness for hte internet indeed! There was a time when moving scared me and made me sad because that had to mean that I'd move away from all my friends. But now? While I will miss my local RL friends, at least I know that I'm with all of you here in LJ land, wherever I am! Wherever I am, there YOU are! :-)

*hugs you a very lot*

My image of heaven looks a lot like the Shire, I think. A green place, full of simple things and friendly neighbors... a warm sun shining, and nights of stars.

In my tradition we say "Dayan Emet". We also say "May your memories be a blessing for you in your time of mourning."

Take good care!

Thank you so much, that's beautiful and the truth, too.

I like your view of heaven - we all have our own, I guess.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Life is so precious, and gifts like these friends must be treasured. *hugs*

Oh, I do love your idea of Heaven! When thinking about death and dying, I always wander around to what John Lennon said about life happening while we sit around making plans. It is that last big mystery. Your writing of these two women's passing was a loving and lovely tribute to them and your grief significant of their place in your heart. I am so sorry for your losses.

((Hugs))

Thank you, B. Even in my post-cancer world, I constantly need to remind myself of those things you mention. It's all about the journey, and I can't control the destination.
