I'm getting caught up on the reading I didn't do over the weekend:

I love the twist about Galliard's true identity. If her grandma worked in the Damson's house, who was her grandfather? Enid's dad perhaps? Enid certainly didn't want Galliard's true identity revealed publicly, did she?

And poor Ralph. Doesn't he realize that a plausible lie about his reason for moving to VT would go over much better than trying to stonewall the cop. "Well, you see, Chief, my friend Odell just can't manage on his own with that leg of his, but he's too stubborn to admit it and ask for help. I didn't have anything keeping me at home, so I tagged along to lend him a hand."

Love the letter to Alec. Laurie still daydreams about Andrew, he can't take his eyes off Jack, but he gets jealous that Ralph is friends with Alec. [Shakes head sadly.]

I think it's canon that Laurie isn't exactly consistent when it comes to Ralph, isn't it? And that Ralph can be stubborn?

But they're not the only ones who don't know which way to turn. I'm very happy that you're reading this, but reading even that one line you wrote for Ralph makes me wish you'd go off and write some fic for me to read instead...

Oh yes, absolutely on both counts. I still want to smack them, however.
