I never thought of taking Wilson's line that way, and now I can't imagine why I didn't. This is a great take on the episode and the question of why Wilson refused chemotherapy.

Thank you for the kind comment. It was such an odd line. One that I've always wanted to hear, but odd in it's delivery to me. Anyway, I needed to make it work for me and this is what I got :-) Thanks for reading!

this is what they should have done on the show.

It would have made more sense to me if this is what Wilson meant. One can dream ;) Thanks so much for reading, I really appreciate it!!

So good. I love the idea that this is what Wilson would need to fight and that it takes House admitting his feelings completely honestly. I agree with the other commenters, this should've happened on the show.

Aww, thanks so much for the lovely comment. It seemed out of place in the show. Not because I didn't want to hear it. I did. I just wish they would have made it mean something. It was a good start anyway. Thanks so much for reading :)

No matter how infuriating this man was to Wilson, he was his weakness.

Perhaps one of the best one-sentence descriptions of the relationship (from Wilson's point of view) that I've ever read.

I was always very unsatisfied with the off-handed way the show dealt with the aftermath of Wilson's plea to House. This is a much better outcome!

Thanks for the lovely comment!! I too think that Wilson sees House as his weakness. Not always a bad thing, but can prove to be his undoing at times. I was never satisfied with the way the show dealt with it too. They finally gave us this chance to see some great emotion between them and then just kinda left it! Grrrr! Thanks so much for reading, I really appreciate it!

I've had basically this scenario rattling around in my head for ... well, however long it's been now since Wilson's infamous line.

So, yeah. Really believable and very nicely done, and also?

Wilson recovers. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it. ;-)

Good to know that I have a bit of the same thought process as such a great writer as yourself! Yes, in my world Wilson lives too. Can't imagine it any other way. Thanks so much for the lovely comment and for reading. I really appreciate it!
