Sick Person Visited. Car Abandoned.

I got out of work this afternoon, and got into the car, but it wouldn't start. I had to leave it in the parking lot. The village mayor picked me up and we both drove to the hospital to visit a a member of our community who had a heart attack on Sunday. I hate car issues. Possibly alternator or starter issues? I used to have a car that simply ATE starters and ignition switches for some reason. Let's hope it is something easily and inexpensively solved! :::::crossing fingers::::

My car's french. It's known to eat anything electrical. This time it's only the key, though. Yay. Thanks for the crossed fingers!

Car is good! Yay. The roadside assitance truck arrived at 10:30, about 3 hours after I called them this morning. It took the guy 10 seconds to diagnose the problem. He tried to start the car, listened to the sound, and said to me, "lady, your car key was damaged somehow. Go get the spare". I called my sister who got me the spare key from home, and lo and behold, the car starts just fine. Grrrr. I don't remember anything extraordinary happening to my car key.

Of course, though, I'm glad it's just the key and not anything major.

I'll have the spare duplicated tomorrow, probably. The guy recommended me a good place that isn't too expensive. I swear, this roadside assistance service is the best thing about my car insurance policy.
