Hee I'm SO glad you like the dynamic between Viola and the Doctor because writing the two of them together is one of my favourite things!! They are so fun to write together because of the way they naturally play off each other.

I think you've hit the nail on the head - they're very similar - although neither sees it. (and yes, she's definitely got an arrogant streak and too much confidence! LOL)

They really are a force to be reckoned with - Rose is going to have her hands full one day... maybe ;)

The Oncoming Storm and the Oncoming Stormlet :)

HAHAHAHA OMG! I love it! That is the most adorable nickname for Viola... I shall think of her as such from now on I think! :)

Oh I think the Doctor has met his match in Viola. I could so see bits of Rose shining through her as she hauled him off back to the Tardis. Somehow I think the Doctor is about to receive quite the lecture from Viola. He so needs this too. Giggles a bit at Who's comment. Yep, she is a stormlet.

Ha! He has met his match hasn't he? Oh yes, she does have a bit of each of her parents in her, along with a healthy dose of independence, over confidence and pragmatism. The Doctor will never know what's hit him! *g*

Viola quite enjoys giving adults lectures. Dear lord, what will she be like as an adult? LOL

Oh she's EXACTLY what he needs, and he's exactly what she needs right now. Although neither of them quite realize it yet...

Hee, yes, she's a stormlet. I love that term. I'm totally adopting it, and if it's alright with Who I may even utilize it in a future story....

Thanks for reading.

I love the Doctor and Viola, they're perfect together. She's just what he needs.

Aren't they fun together? As much as I want to have Rose meet up with him again, I think Viola was the better thing for him at this point - he's not ready for the reality of Rose. Particularly not after everything he's just done. Viola is, as you say, just what he needs. Plus, it's always fun to have him struggle to keep his own next to a SEVEN year old. *giggles.

Viola is such a perfect blend of Rose and the Doctor. And yet, she's also the quintessential 7-year-old and reminds me of the best (and worst) of my own daughter who is also 7. I'm glad Old Sexy took the Doctor where he needed to be instead of busting up her lovely console. Nothing worse than Time Lord Victorious having a tempter-tantrum!

Aww thank you so much! I'm glad you think so. I'm particularly honoured by your comment of her reminding you of your 7 year old daughter because I definitely worried at times that I made Viola too "old", so that's very reassuring.

HAHA yes, this was a much more constructive use of his angst over losing "Rose".

Isn't it ironic that it's the 900 + year old from whom we fear the temper-tantrum and not the 7 year old? LOL

Not ironic at all when you consider it's Ten we're talking about, lol!

And I do think you have Viola spot-on age appropriate. 7-year-olds, and girls in particular, think and act like they're SO much older than they are, even though there's little girl tendencies still lurking underneath. Viola as a character extends this notion well. She is mostly-human, but has enough Time Lord in her that she's a perfect match for the Oncoming Storm. Look out, Doctor! ;-)

LMAO! True. Given that it's Ten it makes a lot of sense - which really is why it works in the first place! :)

Ha it's true, young children always try to act older than they are - especially girls. I teach 5 and 6 year old and talking to them sometimes you'd think I was talking to a bunch of teenagers - I have a few that are well beyond their years! Still it's tricky to make sure that you have the right balance between that and her childlikeness. Of course add some Time Lord and you've got a very interesting mix.

Oh yes, as someone above said, she's the "Oncoming Stormlet"... If Ten knows what's good for him, he'll listen to her! *g*
