So, over the past few nights, I finally started watching Blackpool and I finished it tonight.

( Blackpool rumination - WARNING: MAJOR spoilers ahead. DO NOT read unless you've seen it. (Ahem - ninefiend I'm mostly talking to you) )

Yeah, whenever I watch Blackpool I always have Issues with it -- I just feel like there's no character you can 100% love, which really makes me admire the writing but at the same time always leaves me with this hot/cold feeling.

What I love about Blackpool is that David Morrissey gets me to root for Ripley over a character played by David Tennant, and that is quite a feat. But yeah, I hate Natalie and for me most of Peter Carlisle falls apart because I can't understand what he sees in her.

I must admit though I enjoyed bits of this series I too had trouble with the morals of the show. Guess it's my upbringing lol. I liked and hated both Peter Carlisle and Ripley Holden. I guess they showed the best and worst of humanity in some ways. Still without Peter Carlisle we wouldn't have the great crossovers with him and Rose in alternate universes.
