So tonight the horrible happened. I was sitting at the table with Jenn and Claire, drinking tea and working on the Advent Drabbles when I went to put my mug down and somehow managed to tip it onto my Macbook Pro. awwww thank you! It's sitting sadly in it's box, upside down and hopefully drying out. I remain optimistic!

Yeah seriously. Plus it's fairly new so it's taking quite a lot of effort not to freak out completely. I'm feeling reassured that I was able to shut it down properly and I saw the screen act normal before I did that. When it was a grey screen I was terrified. Not touching it again until Monday night.

Thank you BB!!! I'm worried but trying very hard not to be. I am trying to stay optimistic though and hoping that waiting 72 hours to even try turning it on again will pay off. *squishes back*

OH NO DDDDDDD: THAT IS TERRIFYING. I dropped my phone in water once and put it in rice? FIXED IT LIKE NEW SO HOPEFULLY IF WE LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER LONG ENOUGH, THE SAME THING WILL HAPPEN.

I'm trying very hard to be calm and cool about it but everytime I remember I want to cry. Your story about your phone in rice is reassuring though. I'm really hoping that if we wait until Monday to try turning it on again that it will magically be okay. It's in a box right now propped upside down on a pile of books covered in tea towels and then there is a ton of rice in the bottom of the plastic box to hopefully absorb the moisture. then there's a lid on the box and a pile of books holding it down. Most places say leave it 48 hrs but I'm going to try and wait until Monday just to be extra sure.

*clings* please let this turn out like your phone...

Awww thank you for your concern. I really hope it's okay also. Trying not to think about it too hard. I really hope that if we leave it long enough it will dry out and be fine.
