Gotta love insomnia

Mar 18, 2009 04:33

I couldn't sleep. :( Got my ass kicked in dance class today, which made me feel like a fat hippo. Work is pretty crazy busy to the point of overwhelming these days - in addition to my regular webwork, I'm chipping in on neverending requests for UI art/layout for the Champions Online MMO and related sekrit projects. I'm also sad that there aren't ( Read more... )

Regarding (1) - dance does that, I've been in that mindset since high school dance team. X3 I wish I didn't like food so much. ;-; /blobs!

At least insomnia makes you somewhat productive? When I'm stressed, I still knock out, but I wake up tired from having bad dreams about whatever issues, so it's like I neither slept nor got anything done. -_-;

You didn't miss anything by not having a much of a 401K the last couple of years. :\ The market crash wiped out more than my employer matching contributions and then some, so putting money into 401K has been like throwing it away. Dx I moved what's left to a stable value fund to insulate it from further loss until the market recovers (every other fund has been posting negative performance), but the damage has been done. ;; Should've done that last year when it started going downhill, but I am finance dummie. ;o; Gonna have Frank watch it for me from now on, since he's into that stuff. ;w;

MYUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU~~~~~~ <3

Lucky Frank is into it :) I did some reading and I think I am now ready SORT OF to watch it =D i mean, i'll still heavily go on recommendations and the "majority" and probably not trade actively, but at least i'll be more educated. in retrospect i feel we had a good amount of warning to pull out before the Big Phail (tm) but that is 20/20 hindsight, eh? =D

I did the same thing, pulled out my old 401K into a rollover IRA and am now working on messing with it. It's not a big amount to speak of, though -_-;; I think I also lost my contributions and more.

I normally sleep at 3-4am and dream about work all the time. I go to sleep with a work problem.. wake up with a solution!

SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK!

A word of advice..

DON'T BE A KON!!

Sleep is indeed for the weak as evidenced by the fact I think I AIMed you somewhere in that post 3am area. ;)

Good on ya for tackling your 401k. I really wish we had a match here, heh.

I went climbing for the 2nd day in a row yesterday, which helped me feel fat, but at least like I was doing something about it. :) Heh.

sleep is for the weak?...when u get sick let's see who is the weak one omg ...go get some real sleep

if u need more daily work out...all u need is a brisk walk about 30 mins daily..that is all omg...u don't need to be soaking in sweat to be considered having a good work out.

if u can't sleep, go for a walk. do any exercise 2-3 hours before bed and no food 2 hours before bed. if that still doesn't help, a small cup of warm milk might help.

don't worry about things too much. worrying doesn't make it better. without sleep, ur brain will cease to function and that's not helping u solve anything. if ur body is deprived of sleep too much..it'll shut down automatically...even during the worst times...i've seen peeps just getting knocked off standing there or even while cycling...yes it can be that bad. if ur body is not getting enough rest to fix itself it can kill u...literally

Have you heard of Mint.com? I find it really useful in terms of managing all of my finances in one place. They also provide a lot of useful information on... stuff. :) http://mint.com

I came across this article today, which talks a little more about it:
http://www.creditcardcompare.com.au/blog/the-best-browser-based-personal-finance-management-tools.php

Good luck with everything! And no matter what your mind/body tells you, sleep is always good!!! I used to get insomnia a lot, and then one day I realized it was because I am SUPER sensitive to caffeine. I would have problems sleeping if I have even one cup of tea past 3PM. Now, no more random sleeping issues!

I use and love Mint.com! in fact, I almost worked for them. Around the 2nd round of interviews I got an offer from Cryptic which was a better fit for me personally, so I declined the last interview. It's a pretty damn cool site and their graphic designer is SUPER talented!!!
