Five years from Australia

May 22, 2010 15:47

Today, twothree days after my birthday, is another interesting anniversary of mine: it's now been five years since I left Australia permanently. On May 21st 2005, I took a Malaysian Airlines flight from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur on the first leg of my first trip to Europe, and left my homeland for the first time.

Damn, five years already.....where on earth did all the time ago?!

So in that spirit - comparing to how much I'd seen of the world at the time in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 - here's what I've seen of the world five years later.
