It's complete bullshit. Honestly, as her brother, it makes sense for you to give her away. How can a friend do that if he's not family? Seriously screwed up.

Well I'm glad your toe is getting better.

As far as the heart matter goes I get where you're coming from emotionally. If it were my sister and my father weren't there I'd want to be the one to give her away. However, the one thing you have to remember is that it is her wedding. As long as it's not illegal it's pretty much up to her to decide what she wants and how she wants it.

Now, you can talk rationally with her about it at some point and explain to her what you want to do and why you want to do it, but at the end of the day it's totally up to her no matter how you feel about it.
