Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?

Fucking demons getting more and more bold. If I had been training Shox we would have been fighting these together. The fact that he isn't here makes me fight with even more fury!

I snarl and bare my fangs at him. "Wasn't my meal." Since I can't get into a fight with the Demons he just killed I guess he can take their place.

I extend my claws and flex my fingers as I look him over. "I bet that blade has seen the blood of my kind before." I give a growl as I start to circle him. "Why don't you put it down and see how good you are without it."

I pull the jacket tighter around me at his gaze over me. The way he looks at me has me feeling slightly uncomfortable.

I look around at the strange forest then cut my eyes back to him. "You protect this? You live here?"

I smile softly, "No, this is what we consider a safe place. One can not be tracked here. I protect valuables - things that are precious to the powers that be."

I walk along the tree line, "This is a place I created for me, a place to be quiet, reflect, paint..."

I watch him closely as he moves along the tree line. That last word really catches my attention. He paints.

Milo has a tattered piece of canvas he treasures. I haven't seen it as he is very protective of it but I've heard rumours amongst the others that it's of a beautiful dark haired woman holding a baby.

Now I am curiouser than all hell. "What do you paint?"

I shrug a shoulder, "Mostly people I care about, but sometimes landscapes if they remind me of those I've loved."

I think about my wife and child. How I loved to paint them! Even after she left and took him away.... a familiar stab of pain grips my heart and I frown and feel my jaw muscle twitch.

"It has been some time since I last painted, but I have not had a muse."

Now I know I need to learn more about him. I see the softness and pain mixed on his face. It makes him seem less of a.. threat.

I so not know much about painting and I haven't heard of this muse thing. "What is a muse?"
