I look over the car at Aaron and wonder how he didn’t beat the asshole that did this to his car to a bloody pulp. Well, maybe he did. After Richie and his kids it’s Aaron’s car in his heart. He is psycho protective over all of them… not that I would say that to his face.

He looks rather - sheepish but says nothing. I think back... how did we get here? What I thought I saw - wings... and that thing was a wolfe?
Granted I never got the chance to get to know him very well, but a joke like this doesn't seem his style. And there is no humor in those eyes either. I gently pull my hand from his grip and reach over and touch his shoulder looking for his wings.
I must have been given one hell of a painkiller. He sounds and feels so real.

I see the slightest flicker of movement on his face and see a stitch come out of his skin and fall free. I reach for it and pick it up looking at it in my fingers. He has started healing. "That wasn't an ordinary wolf Karl. There is a power in its bite." I look up to him. "You will become one of his kind."

Swallowing hard I look up into his eyes... this has to be a dream! If this was real, I would be... I mean... suddenly I sit up and more stitches fall into my lap ( ... )

I reach out my hand to touch his face. His fur thick against my fingertips. "It does not change who you are, just what you are." I glance around and we are out in the open out here. "Come back inside."

It is the sound of a match striking somewhere in the distance that has me opening my eyes looking towards to docks. I smell humans but nothing more - no danger. How I know that I couldn't say, but he is right we need to get back inside.
Letting go of his arm I move past him and down the few steps and sit. I look up and watch him descent and notice the look on his face, "What?"
I look down - oh hell I'm no longer a fucking wolf but now I am naked! I grab my pillow and cover myself, "Well that is going to be inconvenient!"

I turn and look in the direction of where I know his kitchen is. "I'm sure you still have that nice rack of reds." I glance back at him. "I'll go pick us one. We can talk."
