It's hard, isn't it? But I think you're still the same person you were before you couldn't remember anymore--we all are. So if you learn more about who you are, you'll know who you used to be, too.

But...if you knew there was some part of yourself that was different, but you didn't know how to...to access that part, what would you do?

I would look for evidence of how to get to it.

Evidently it appears in times of great duress, which makes experimenting difficult.

It's not easy. You just have to go by instincts I guess--sometimes you're in a situation where it just happens without you thinking about it.
