Lesson I have learnt today.

Don't neglect taking Mr Anti-Depressant for a few days. It fucks you up.

Now to hope that resuming it after that break stops these side effects, and to pray it doesn't flip me out and make me do something none to smart. Still need to change my will.

If it's lexapro, the side effects should ease after your next dose. It's a horrible withdrawl! *hugs*

That eases my worries immensely.

Certainly don't look forwards to the day that the doctor recommends me to stop taking it though, after having experienced just some of the effects.

Glad you're feeling better now. I came off Lexapro a few months ago, I think the zaps lasted a couple of days until the drug was thoroughly out of my system. It was a lot less bad than I expected, but I needed to rest for a few days.

I just need to drag my sorry arse to the psych now, now that the high of the past few months has run out.

Are you you getting brain zaps? They were, hands down, the worst side effect of anything I have ever taken.

That's what finally clued me onto it being a side effect of not taking the meds. At first I thought it was tiredness, then I thought it was the painkillers, but in the end Google informed me no, it's the non-taking of the Lexapro.

So I wasn't actually experiencing tiredness when we got back the other night, it was the withdrawals starting to kick in. And those brain zaps were getting really bad at work this morning.

Damn glad I left at lunch, came home and took a tablet, and had a sleep for a few hours. The zaps seem to be gone, and I avoided the plunge into crazy thoughts which were starting to take seed this morn. Saved in the nick of time!

Deal is you get the cat too.
I'll rig it so the only way to turn on the telly is to hug the cat.
