I came across this on youtube (of course).

I'm always looking for neat math tricks and shortcuts.

This is actually a not-so-new solution to multiplying big numbers by hand.

It's really impressive. Be patient. The setup takes a bit but you'll see once everything is gridded, it makes multiplication sooooo much easier.

Why, of course. That makes problems such as these so much easier. A pity he neglected to draw in the graphing function.
