My regular man presented the rose and some chocolates with a kiss and said "happy Valentine's day, baby!"

I replied: "It's not Valentine's day yet... Oh... it is. I'm sorry, I forgot!"

He said he thought the gift-giving was only supposed to go one-way anyway. But it was his birthday on Sunday (which he said he didn't want reminding of), so I'm going to take him out for some treat of sorts tomorrow. Or maybe just a year's supply of impassioned blowjobs in the shower or something.

A vase, actually. I'm such a sucker for boring convention sometimes...

But don't dare mock microwaves, if that's what you were trying to do. I owe my life to convenience food! It's one of those things that tempts me into the idea of marrying a woman, even though I'm straight. A marriage of convenience where she stays at home, tidies the place and feeds me - while I go out and earn the cold hard cash, and shag various male colleagues in the stationery cupboard before returning home at night with tales of how I'm planning to go ahead with that artificial insemination "very soon now"...
