I have a query.

I would like to know what you guys believe happens to a person after death. Do you believe in an afterlife? Reincarnation? Something else?
Or, do you believe that a person ceases to exist after death as I do.

If you don't feel like answering that's cool, I'm just curious.

I'll find out when I die.

And I don't mean that in a dissenting way, that's just how I feel about it.

There's no knowing with certainty. I have strong intuitions that there is SOMETHING but I also feel that this something is radically different than what the typical conception of the afterlife is like ( ... )

There's no Biological reason to believe a person exists in any form after death. The brain is everything that is you, so if it dies, you're gone.

That said, it's a tough call until we understand better what consciousness actually is. The very fact that we are now controlling a single human being as an individual rather than having some sort of hive mind is peculiar, since we all have common ancestry.

I'm leaning towards some form of reincarnation, but without any connection to your previous self, because there's no reason that'd be physically possible. Kind of like, you are a new person, but it's not you in the same sense. It's complicated. Mostly it's the fact that you seem to skip a chunk of time entirely when you go unconscious. If you were knocked cold for 2000 years, those millenia would pass in an instant ( ... )

I believe that our essence turns into sandwiches, devoured by an uncaring universe.

If you were nice, though, you get some cheese in there. Just a bit.

Maybe a couple pickles.
