The Overlord was used to getting quests from Rollick, just… not ones quite this complicated.
Are you sure? he asked the door, staring at the parchment that had been thrust under it.
“That’s right,” Rollick said, blowing his nose somewhere on the other side. “I found that recipe when your creatures were clearing out the library. Just follow my notes, you’ll be fine.”
The Overlord inspected it with some scepticism, and looked around at the gathered servants. There weren’t many. How many of you know the kitchen?
There were a few ‘uhhh’s and ‘erm’s as they looked at each other and shrugged at him.
Really? Just me? He gave them a long brimstone stare, but none of them budged. Growling, he dismissed them and headed for the kitchen, consulting the notes he’d been given. The Reds could handle the fires, some of the others could round up the slugs and the sheep…
