I am Rewatching BSG - Starbuck is More Awesome Than Everyone

I am sick. But it's almost a refreshing kind of sick, since it's the kind of sick that doesn't involve a hospital, just a tummy virus. So it should pass quickly enough. I feel better already, just kind of ick.

My friends and I feel the same way about Vampire Diaries--we all checked the show out, half ready to cringe, expecting it to be far too Twilight-y. But yes, the awesomeness of Ian, plus the risks the show has been willing to take--killing off characters, not dragging out storylines, etc--have me feeling so pleasantly surprised by it. I actually like Elena too.

So yeah, I look forward to it whenever there's a new episode.

I was completely ready to hate it. . . and then didn't. I mean it's not going to win any awards - but it's solidly entertaining, and has yet to slip over into the obnoxious side of teen vampire genre stuff.

Plus - points for awesome guest stars/recurring characters. Gina Torres! Jasmine Guy! Kelly Hu! Arielle Kebbel!

Yeah, I can totally see it, but it wasn't the sort of thing that I automatically reacted to and had it lessen my enjoyment.

I still love the early seasons, and there's the occasional moment when it reminds me of the show I loved, but those just seem much too rare.

And I'm glad you're okay! And had a good time and all of that! How are the bunnies?
