I would try Community again if only because the pilot was like most pilots -- mostly introductory, not the best episode in the series by a long shot, and everyone involved is still getting used to one another. It shot up in quality pretty fast after that and has done a really good job of maintaining that high standard for a while now, and I say that as someone who generally loathes sitcoms.

It really is at its best when it's mocking different genres, too. The paintball episode, the zombie episode, the stop-motion Christmas episode, and the D&D episode were honestly some of the best television I've seen in quite a while.

Also, TROY. :D

Yeah, I'm not usually a big sitcom person either, which I think was part of why I wrote it off so quickly. I'm sold on giving it another shot though. :)

I didn't like the pilot of Community, avoided it for the rest of S1, and then saw the paintball ep and fell in love. I've re-watched S1 now and I got more into it as the show went on. That said, laugh tracks make me want to stab things so any show that doesn't have one automatically gets points from me, and I love the paintball ep so much (and the D&D epp in S2!) that my love for that sort of colours everything else.

I'm still playing the first DA (I'm such a slow gamer) but your the second person I've heard mention that the mother is .. .well endowed. Like. REALLY well endowed :P.

I'm looking forward to finishing the first one, and getting on to the second one.

Yes! Laugh tracks! So annoying! I recently gave he first seasons of Big Bang and HIMYM a shot too, and the laugh tracks drove me nuts. They're just so unneccessary!

I only just finished Origins a bit ago, so I'm with you on the slow! It was a fun play though. And yeah. I don't think she's any MORE well endowed than any other human female model, but she's the MOTHER character, so the fact that the models all have BIG BREASTESES just stands out really irritatingly. It's like the WOMEN MUST BE SEXY thing at work, and in that case especially it stands out as ridiculous. There's also a character who is, in the game canon, younger than the mother character, but male, and looks SO MUCH older because he's a he and doesn't have gravity defying boobs.

Despite my bitching though, it is really very fun. :)

They really, really really drive me. I resisted watching The Big Bang theory for a while because the laugh track made me want to scream. If there was some way to filter it out I would. And yes, I agree. I know when to laugh, I don’t need the TV to cue me to it :P.

Hee. Yes, that was the other persons complaint, that the MOM of all people was you know … so well endowed. And Ois. Way to be video games. Way to be …. :P. I suspect I will still enjoy it when I finish DA:O, and get to it, but I also suspect I will headdesk about the ahem, HUGE … tracks of lands all the females come with.

I agree! I wish there was a way to turn it off. Like switching on/off the commentary track!

Hee, yeah, don't get me wrong, I'm definitely still enjoying it, sometimes, video games just make me headdesk.
