Gift Art post 2
I hope everyone had a good New Years - I spent the night being a slob and doing very little, but enjoyed it thoroughly. I finally remembered to set up a Leaky Cauldron art page so if anyone wants to check it out you can find me at http://fanart.the-leaky-cauldron.org/user/profile/lorannah
- most of it will be familiar, but I'm working on putting up some coloured versions of my old Weasley drawings. It's a very weird feeling - the first picture I put up has already been viewed over 150 times - I never imagined even a fraction of that number was possible.
I also sorted out the plan for the next story I'm going to write - it's been roughly in my head for months, but I've now know what order things happen in and have sorted out relatively detailed plans for the first 13 chapters, which is good as one of my resolutions is to write this story. Mysteriously I've discovered it's a love triangle - oh dear. Actually I'm looking forward to writing it but I'm worried too, most of my stories are very plot driven, this one is all about the characters and their relationships with each other. It's going to be a challenge to write, but also I'm worried there won't be enough to interest people. We'll see.
Anyway, here's two more of the gift arts - both Lily and James this time and both Christmassy.

I like how all the characters look in this picture, although Lily is possibly a bit bland still. Oh well, I like it.

I really like the feel of this one, although James' face came out weirdly. I'm happy with how Harry came out as well, I had to draw a picture of Little Teddy Lupin a while ago (which I will post eventually) and had no idea how to draw babies, but they're not as impossible as I thought. One last thing, I made James and Lily look young in this picture - because they are. They're so young when they die, under 21, and I wanted to show that - even though this is predominantly a happy picture, I imagined them sending messages to all their friends so they could get Harry presents and give him a proper Christmas.
