It's Versatile! It's Soft! It's Toilet Paper!

I ran out of toilet paper last week, and as I went to the store at 10:30 at night just for some toilet paper, I wondered what the clerk would think of me.

My preferred judgment is that he would assume that I was going to use this late-night TP run to build my arsenal for a wicked night of TPing.  And then I remembered a time, many moons ago, ( Read more... )

Cathy, thanks for your nice words and thoughts. Sometimes it seems that education is a capricious profession. I have, though, thought about teaching abroad, but it seems most of those programs had deadlines in January, so if I really want to do it, I would have to wait until next year.
Anyhow, keep reading, and I hope I stay interesting!

I don't think I have ever heard the whole story. It was very amusing. I might have been a little freaked at the time about my daughter running around at 1:00am looking for TP. Why weren't your father or I home? Hummmm.
I THINK I know who most of the people are, and it really does amuse me.
When are you going to write a book?

Mom, it wasn't 1 a.m. We were going to kidnap the freshmen at 1 a.m. When we went TPing, it was probably closer to 8 or 9. And I have no idea where you were, but Cliff and Jeanette were with you, because we didn't run into them at the house, either.
Hey, if I don't find a job, I suppose I'll have lots of time to write a book, won't I?
