Jace was promoted from eighth to ninth grade in a ceremony held Tuesday night at his middle school. The class dresses up, and after the ceremony, there is a promotions dance. It's basically like a middle school prom. Jace delivered the closing speech at the ceremony. He disobeyed my command to "stand up straight" and hunched over the microphone,
