I know that some of you have expressed an interest in learning the native language around here. And I know that I've already offered to teach a fair number of you. General Cross - while helping us with other tasks - also knows the language though I'm not sure that he'd like me much for offering his lessons as well, so I'll keep it to just me. We'll ( Read more... )

It'll be a good idea for at least one of you guys to learn it if you're going to go in town together. Rin could play a mute if he doesn't want to learn, I guess.

Nii-san's never been very patient when it comes to schooling, so that's probably for the best.

I wasn't either when I was younger, it changes if the spark is ignited to learn.

i'd like to learn, but how frequent and how long do you think lessons will be?

[He has a list of other things to get done, and as Lavi said, even daylight is a resource here.]

Probably no more than two or three hours every other day. Don't want to keep everyone from doing what they want or need to do. Still wanna sign up, Allen?

count me in.

[No harm giving it a shot. If it turns out it's taking up time that could be better spent, say, scouting for a suitable location for that fallback base, he'll try to work around it then.]

Alright then, will do.

[Learning a new language is a good thing. How else are you going to know what people are saying about you behind your back?]

Did the General make it back okay after that week? I forgot to ask you earlier, but I don't have constant contact with him.

Thanks, Lavi. I appreciate it, this'll be a big help.

Need someone to help you look? I wouldn't want you to have to take that aid sign down.

No problem, yeah?

I'd appreciate the extra help but only if you can spare the time. Don't want to keep you from anything you're doing around here.

I was a bit younger than you when I first learned Russian, it'll be hard but not too bad.

Nothing I won't try to handle. Though I'll say I've never taught a large group before. Just one on one.

Russian is... very different from the other languages here.

Yeah, but it's not terribly difficult to learn. Then again when I was eight all I was doing was learning languages.
