I hope you don't mind me asking, but why do you feel the need to rehome Minx because of your pregnancy?

And, if you can't find a new home for her, please make sure the shelter you give her to won't have her put down after a certain length of time - I'd recommend Cats' Protection, though they are very busy and crowded.

OK, missed that bit. Why not get rid of the dog? They take more effort than cats.

Did I sleep through the start of the week and today's actually Thursday?

*cuddles*

You might want to talk to lovelybug about this - I know she wants cats, and that way you could still see her. Tempted to take her myself but I think my cats might be too middle-aged to adjust to a new one.

I would take her were it not for my shoebox of a flat, and the fact that I'm off a busy road with no garden :-(

I wish you the best of luck in finding her a happy home.

I have a work mate who lives alone and is wanting a cat - I'll see if she's interested.

She said....
"awwww
she sounds sweet! "

But, she's after a kitten from a friend that's breeding cats.

Sorry! Hope you find her a good home.

Speaking as a childfree cat owner and lover - knock it off, all of you! You should be ashamed of yourselves. It's hard enough to come to this kind of decision without other people weighing in with unwanted (and unfair) opinions.

OP - I hope you manage to find a home for your kitty, I'd take her if I possibly could, but we're full at the momment. Good luck with it, and also for the rest of your pregnancy.

I think you're missing the point that everyone bar the original comment was being silly and making fun of the absurdity at questioning someone in such a manner, and not condemning op for her decision.

Having re-read the thread this morning, fair comment. I apologise for blazing righteous indignation on the back of little sleep and much pain.
