[sounds slightly out of breath, as if he'd been running around all day]
I can see where you're coming from there. Seems like a long time since when I was first laying in a cafe bleeding to death, too. Now most of my friends are here.
Got a point there. I mean... this place is hell in a handbasket right now; I wouldn't want anyone else to have to be stuck here, though at the same time, I do. ...is that crappy-sounding?
Fine, fine. I'm fine. A friend of mine got sick, I just haven't been sleeping. What were you gonna say?
Sadly I've got to say I've survived worse. My mother, for instance. But I still would rather they be far away from this place.
Sick? Do they need a doctor, or any help? There are a few doctors around here, I know that much.
Well, it's just... coffee. Better off with it than tea, anyway. I had a little incident the last Halloween with tea, and since then I haven't been able to touch the stuff.
Your home is the grand religious structure I see through the window, is it not? Tell me, if you will, what religion does it keep? I have a curiosity in such things.
It's a Roman Catholic parish church. It's much different from St. Bartholomew's Abbey, which I lived in before, since the cathedral is far more picturesque.
Oh boy. Where to even begin? To put it simply, they teach the virtues of faith and worship. There's... a lot more to it, but at the risk of turning this into a sermon...
It is quite beautiful. Some of the alters and pews got destroyed in an attack, but I fixed some things so it at least looks nice again.
No worse for the wear. Better'n better, I think. Snow ain't the nicest thing to walk in, but it ensures a kinda quiet that lets ya put your thoughts together.
Well, I am helpin' Miss Aya Brea with tryin' to restore a bit of "New York's Finest" to the Big Apple. Definitely somethin' folks here could use is some law n' order...never thought I'd hear me sayin' it, though.

Yeah, coffee. It's a caffeinated drink that...
Wait. Are you okay? You sound awful.

Undoubtedly it is beautiful within. My sisters would disagree, but it seems to me there is much value in the things humes create.

Better than I was a few weeks ago. Fought off that fever and now I'm back to work and being productive again. Winters are not my thing.

New York's Finest... you mean a Force? That'll be something nice to see again. I was good friends with some of the cops at my home town.
