I can't even describe it. It's kind of sickly sweet, enough so that you don't immediately think 'chemical smell' when it doesn't come off your hands -- it reminds me more of lotion or soap that just happens to have been made with essence of early rot. LOL. It doesn't really smell like rot, but it's sickly, and the fact that it stays on your hands for a good 24 hours is enough to hate it.
