Omg, omg, WHAT A PROPOSAL! Ben definitely gets points for that one! I am so happy for you. Seriously, I have been waiting for this! I had sensed you were ready to get engaged for a while and was hoping he would get up the nerve to ask, and man he didn't disappoint! Yayayayayay! Seriously, I'm so happy for you.
I am slowly becoming sliiiiightly less giddy and giggly, haha, but it's taking a while. Man. I didn't know engagement took so much out of you - all the emotion and everything, and for him the planning, left us both exhausted (but super happy) that day. :) Yeah, he did soooo well. I couldn't believe all the little details he went to. He tried having my cousin, when she visited, drag me into jewelry stores for sizing, but also told her to back off so I wouldn't get suspicious, so the ring is actually too big because I was too scared of sales people to try anything on. LOL! He went ring shopping almost 4 months ago while in Salem and enlisted the help of his parents as a neutral party to help decide on rings. He said he would get the ring out and look at it while I was at work and he was home, sometimes, hoping that I would like it. AAAAH so many schmoopy feels. SOOOOO many feels.
Awwww! Thanks for sharing your story here, so great to read. Beautiful photos too! And lol, that is so like Ben, joking about terrible proposal scenarios then coming up with a really great one :)
Aww thank you! And yes, that is Ben. For a day or two after that conversation we had he would hold up a twist tie in the shape of a ring and be like "Is that good, do you think?" or threaten to propose to me on the living room couch while watching reality television....
