Everything that keeps me together is falling apart

1. After a mere 6 days my asthma brought my lungs to their knees; it took 6 days of steroids twice a day and albuterol 3-5 times a day before I started seeing any improvement. At last, by the 10th day and end of my treatment, the cough seemed better! Or did it ( Read more... )

I had some variety of steroidal nasal spray medication for allergies for a while, and I recall some warning on the label about potentially increasing the risk of upper respiratory infection, so you're probably right about that!

Oh, man, I've had that happen to my calves before after lots of exercise, including the sensitivity to touch. Definitely not fun. o_o; Soaking in epsom salt/hot water or just keeping an electric blanket or a hot water bottle on them helped a lot, so if you're still in pain, I would suggest any of those things. I hope you feel better!

I have major setbacks after relying on my inhaler... though not any infections as far as I know. If I get a general cold/flu, it sets off my asthma I will be using my inhaler more often ( a few time a day at least) and days later I get terrible headaches and think I'm going to die.

Good luck sorting out the calf pain on top of feeling ill.

I can't say as I've ever noticed that I am susceptible to respiratory infections after an asthma treatment. When I do catch such infections, they usually cause my asthma to join the party - and then I require more asthma treatments. But the asthma treatments have never given me grief upon their completion. I would probably call it an unfortunate coincidence.
Oof, I'm sorry about the calves. Mine did that to me after I hiked up and down a mountain in poor shape. I hobbled around for three days. :( I would second the suggestion of an epsom salt soak, and alternating hot and cold packs for some relief. I hope you feel better from all of it soon!!
