Sending it as we speak :) The students who received grants for research from the university were required to give their presentation, but since my grant was from a different institution I didn't technically have to. I did, though, as my adviser wanted me to and I figured it would be good practice :) If you mean if research was required -- nope, I just applied for a grant with the Morris Animal Foundation for the summer and received a $4000 stipend to do research the past two months. Since my research was in the wildlife category I'll be going to SF to share my research with the other wildlife-researcher students and compete against them for additional money.
